Stellium 2 has been designed to achieve high-power density and world-class PUE efficiency, and are provided with N+N primary electrical power from diverse sources.

This covers an area of 3,600m2 spread across two 960m2 and two 840m2 halls. It’s been designed to achieve high-power density and world-class power usage effectiveness (PUE) efficiency. Its primary electrical power derives from diverse sources, thereby offering greater choice and value.

The data halls use hard rather than raised floors, a feature often found in older data centres which can lead to structural, cooling and hygiene issues. The cooling infrastructure is designed in accordance with the latest technology, with independent engineering-plant space that meets Tier III+ standards of concurrent maintainability and diverse infrastructure paths.

Services available include customer setup and decommissioning, catering, and car-parking facilities.


Power usage effectiveness (PUE)

Delivers a verified design PUE of 1.15 when operated within industry-recommended temperature and humidity parameters.


Tier III+ design

Meets all Tier III+ requirements of concurrent maintainability, diverse engineering and avoidance of single points of failure.


Campus electrical power

80MVA via four 20MVA 11kV feeds to two dedicated SSE switch-rooms, with scalability up to 120MVA.


IT power density

11MW IT power delivering 8kW racks (3kW per square metre) across each of the data halls, with a local capability of up to 34kW per rack


Stellium closely monitor the developing Covid-19 situation. Given the risks it creates Stellium has as a contingency already activated its Business Continuity Plan ensuring we are prepared in advance to maintain normal services.
